Salvatore Amorelli lives and works in Sicily (though there has been word he may be moving operations to Switzerland).
He has been making pipes since the 1980's. Many of his pipes are made from the best Sicilian briar which is aged for at least 5 years. An Amorelli pipe is recognized by an unmistakable logo: an 18 k gold bard placed in the center of the junction of the shank and the mouthpiece which allows for perfect positioning.
His pipes have found success in Europe, the USA, Canada and Hong Kong.
He has created the "Uniche" as presentational pipes for such dignitaries as The Pipe (a pastoral scene), Bill Clinton (a saxophone), and Helmet Kohl (a representation of the reunification of Germany).
