Tonino Jacono lives and works in Jesi, located in the Marche region of Italy.

His profession as a pipe maker stated casually in 1981, when his father-in-law offered to ceate a new company together with him to produce free hand pipes.  His father-in-law worked in the briar mill so it was easy to select the best briar.

His brother-in-law, Vitaliano Posella, had just bought some machines required to make pipes, so in 1981, the new company was born.  For a year and a half, the 3 men worked together.

In 1983, Tonino left Calabria and returned the Le Marche.

In October, 1983, from his new workshop in Jesi, the first "Jacono" pipes were created.

His philosophy was simple:  produce excellent pipes and sell them at the right price.

Over the years, the shapes and finishing of his pipes have changed, but his way of working the his philosophy remains the same.
